Responsible use

Last updated: 13 October 2026

DroidSender sends SMS from your own phone and your own number. That makes every message personal, and it means the people who receive them have to want them. These are the rules the product enforces for you, and the ones it expects from you.

STOP works on its own

When someone replies STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, SAIR or PARAR), DroidSender records it, sends them a single confirmation that they will not receive more messages, and from then on blocks that number for your account: in campaigns, in the API and in the inbox. You don't have to do anything. If they reply START later, they can receive messages again.

Scams don't get through

Before a campaign sends its first SMS, its text is checked for obvious fraud: messages pretending to be a bank, a delivery company or a government office, fake fines and refunds, "Hi mum, this is my new number" and requests for codes, card details or passwords. A campaign that looks like a scam is held and reviewed by a person before anything is sent. We don't judge opinions, tone or marketing: only fraud. Accounts used for fraud are closed.

Your part

Your contacts' data

DroidSender is hosted in the European Union. For the contact lists you upload and the messages you send, you are the controller and we act as processor under the GDPR: we use that data only to carry out your sends, and delete it when you close your account. The details are in our GDPR page and privacy policy.

If you received an SMS sent through DroidSender that you think is a scam or spam, write to hello@droidsender.com with the number and the text. We look at every report.
