In short
- Export candidates with a phone column, plus any columns you want in the message.

What you need
- An Android phone (7.0 or newer) with a SIM card.
- Candidates who agreed to be contacted by SMS.
Recruiters text candidates because people read SMS and reply to it. DroidSender sends those texts from your own phone and puts every reply in one inbox on your computer.

1. Export your candidates
Export the list from your ATS or spreadsheet as .xlsx or .csv. Any header works for the phone column: DroidSender finds it and shows which column it used.

Local numbers use the country of the phone's SIM. International numbers work with or without +.
2. Write the message
Go to Campaigns > New campaign and upload the file. Type @ in the message box to add a column.
Hi @{name}, your interview for @{role} is on @{when}. Reply YES to confirm or NO if you need another time.
3. Send now or schedule
Send straight away or pick a date and time. Messages go out from the phone at a human pace. The Log shows sent, delivered or failed for each one, and temporary failures are retried automatically.
4. Handle replies
Replies land in Conversations, one thread per candidate. You answer from the computer and the text goes out from your number, so candidates see a number they recognise.
Connect your ATS
Send from your own system with POST /api/v1/sms/send (quickstart). Webhooks tell your ATS when a message is sent, delivered, failed or received (webhooks).

- Keep one message per purpose: interview, shift or new role.
- Ask for a one-word reply (YES, NO) so answers are quick to read.

Questions people ask
- Can I send from my ATS?
- Yes. Use the REST API to send and webhooks to get delivery reports and replies back into your system.
- What if a candidate replies STOP?
- They get one confirmation and never receive another message from your account.
- Do I pay per SMS?
- No. Texts go through your own SIM, so your mobile plan applies. DroidSender plans include a monthly number of SMS, from 100 on Free to 50,000 on Business.
